Winemaker Notes:
Deep garnet red color. An expressive nose shows red fresh fruits like plums and cherries, accompanied by soft, delicious vanilla and tobacco notes. On the palate it is fresh, with ripe, soft tannins leading a pleasant, slightly sweet finish.

Organic / Natural / No Sulfur Added

A blend of Nero d’Avola and Nerello Mascalese from a limestone and clay vineyard of only one hectare. The vines are 11 years old and are farmed organically. Spontaneous fermentation in stainless steel with indigenous yeasts with fifty months of aging in stainless steel. This is the closest to “traditional” Sicilian wine from the estate. The wine displays a classic dark blackberry color with notes of cassis, leather, and forest floor. Although this carries the presence of a bold Nero d’Avola-based wine it is surprisingly fresh and quaffable. Performs best with a slight chill.

The new kid on the block is Vitícola Mentridana, a family and friends project from Dani Landi (Comando G) and Curro Bareño (Ca' di Mat and Fedellos) with family vineyards and some of the brands that used to belong to Landi. The first vintage is 2021, but the 2020s are already labeled and sold through this new project. In total, they have 15 hectares in Méntrida and Real de San Vicente, some owned, some rented, but all are worked by them organically (and in due time they should get the certification). Production is around 40,000 bottles. It's a great new addition to Gredos.

Organic / Biodynamic / Natural / No Sulphur Added

Organic and biodynamically farmed Zweigelt and Merlot from soils comprised of gravel, sand and chalk. The average age of the vines is 30 years, they are harvested by hand. Twelve day maceration with spontaneous fermentation in neutral oak barrels with indigenous yeasts. No fining, no filtering and no added SO2.

A chillable medium-bodied red that begs to be drunk. This has more mid-palate than many other quaffable Austrian reds. Notes of cassis, blackberry, and pepper. Tannins are soft but present enabling the wine to be a perfect charcuterie pairing.

Georg Schmelzer is a fourth-generation winemaker in the Gols region near Lake Neusiedl in Austria. Georg’s winemaking philosophy is in line with the Demeter guidelines for biodynamic farming. He uses a variety of biodynamic preparations for the revitalization of the soil and keeping his vines as healthy as possible. And of course, no herbicides or pesticides.

The harvest is done by hand and the wine is aged in neutral oak without filtering, fining, or addition of any sulfur. It’s this respect for the land and the ability to let the grapes express themselves with minimal intervention that makes Schmelzer’s Weingut so unique.

Winemaker Notes:
William Fevre's Champs Royaux Chablis is impressively precise, delivering a nose of citrus fruits, flowers, green apple and flinty flavors of wet stone in the mid-palate with a beautifully clean finish. Fresh, supple, it is marked by mineral notes, typical of the appellation.
A perfect accompaniment for shellfish menus, grilled fish, oysters, and sushi - but would also work well with many roast chicken recipes seasoned with fresh herbs such as thyme or tarragon.

Winemaker Notes:
"Our William Hill Estate North Coast Cabernet Sauvignon has a rich palate of dark fruit flavors, with subtle hints of caramel and cocoa. The Sonoma and Napa fruit gave this wine its ripe blackberry and black cherry flavors, while the grapes from Lake and Mendocino brought tremendous structure and presence to the blend. This Cabernet, which was blended with a touch of Merlot to round out the mouthfeel, will reveal more complex layers with time in the bottle."

Brilliant violet. An expressive bouquet evokes black raspberry and cherry preserves, baking spices and smoky minerals, plus a hint of lavender in the background. Appealingly sweet and seamless in texture, offering palate-staining red and blue fruit flavors that show impressive depth and liveliness. The floral note repeats strongly on a very long, focused finish framed by fine-grained tannins.

The 2021 Concreto Malbec has to be one of the finest vintages of this wine despite its youth and still shy personality. But there are tons of flowers, wild herbs and berries there waiting to emerge in an insinuating way, with austerity but unfurling layers and layers as the wine sits in the glass. It's incredibly fine-boned with chalky tannins that scream limestone, full of precision and purity. For Sebasti??n Zuccardi, they didn't do anything different, it's just the character of the year. This is the wine that explains their philosophy without breaking your piggy bank. It is delicious, serious, approachable and with aging potential. What else do you want? I have sometimes confused this wine blind with one of their top bottlings. This is one of the best values around. They produced 47,000 bottles in this vintage. It was bottled in February 2022
