Our Rosé Taste-Off Is Back!!!!

Every year we did a Taste-Off of the new vintage releases of Rosés before the pandemic squashed all our fun. Well, the pandemic is over and the Rosé Taste-Off is back baby!

Join us on Saturday, April 20 anytime between 2:00-5:00 to taste forty different 2023 vintage Rosés from around the world. We will provide you with a scorecard to rate them, turn in your scores, tally them up, and take in the most highly reviewed wines. What better way to decide which Rosés to carry than having them go head-to-head in a wine tasting done by our customers?!

We love this wine tasting because it helps us find new and interesting Rosés completely chosen by our customers, and our customers have terrific palates. The results are always intriguing with New York State Rosés, Spanish Rosados, an Italian Aglianico Rosé, Sancerre Rosés, and South American Rosés all landing in top spots over the years. I can’t wait to see which wine tops the charts this year! See you there!

There is no need to purchase a ticket, just swing by!

Whitecliff Wine Seminar

Our next wine seminar is in the books and it's a good one! On April 27, we will have the Hudson Valley’s own Whitecliff Vineyard in the house. Co-owner Yancey Stanforth-Migliore will walk us through their long history of growing grapes and making wine on their way to the most awarded winery of the Hudson Valley!

Whitecliff is an artisanal family-run winery created from the ground up by owners and founders, Michael Migliore and Yancey Stanforth-Migliore. Michael has lived on the property since 1975 and established the vineyards in 1979. Yancey will go over the trials and tribulations of farming and winemaking in the Hudson Valley while we taste their delightful wines. After meeting with Yancey, and enjoying so many of her wines, I had to have her come into the store and spread her wealth of knowledge with our customers.

We will be tasting some classical varieties… wait until you try their Cabernet Franc! … but also many hybrids you may not be familiar with such as Vidal, Traminette, etc. This will be a very educational wine seminar… plus Yancey is just a lovely person you have to meet.

Purchase a ticket to reserve your spot, which will be returned to you as a credit towards Whitecliff Vineyard wines. There will be limited seating, so this is guaranteed to sell out quickly.

See you there!
