The young 2024 A Pedreira is serious and austere, subtle, still a tad reductive but following the house style of whites that are clean, elegant and very tasty and with a subtle salty twist in the finish. It was produced with grapes from very white sandy soils in Meaño, Padrenda and Sanxenxo and fermented in oak (barrels and foudres) and 30% in stainless steel, where it matured for four to six months. I think this will be even better with a couple of years in bottle. The work with oak is unnoticeable in the flavors or aromas, but it gives the wine nuance and complexity. It comes in at 13% alcohol, with a pH of 3.32 and 8.1 grams of acidity. 65,000 bottles produced. It was bottled in April 2025

In 1974, Jean Mourat founded Vignobles Mourat when he purchased Chateau Marie de Fou in Mareuil. Jean's son, Jeremie, took over J. Mourat in 2000, and has been working diligently to raise the profile of his region, the Fiefs Vendeens. Fiefs Vendeens is the westernmost region of the Loire Valley, only 20 km from the Atlantic Ocean and an hour south of Nantes. Because of its proximity to the ocean, the Atlantic is the dominant climactic influence, providing for cold, wet winters, cool and cloudy spring, and warm, humid, sunny summers. J. Mourat's vineyards are located on hillsides overlooking the Lay Valley grown on volcanic and schist soils. Since taking over in 2000, Jeremie has converted to organic farming and working naturally in the cellar while championing the traditions of this ancient winemaking region.
The J. Mourat Blanc Collection is a blend of 50% Chenin Blanc and 50% Chardonnay from 20 year old vines. The grapes are gently pressed, cold settled and the wine is fermented and aged all in stainless steel tanks. Light gold in color, the Blanc Collection displays aromas of green orchard fruits, lanolin and white flowers. On the palate, this medium-bodied wine has a sharp, broad acidity that delivers incredible freshness

Here is a Malbec with a delicate and elegant structure, excellent acidity and a nose full of blueberries, figs, and hints of violets.
Sustainable with very low intervention. 94% Malbec 6% Cabernet franc. The grapes are hand-picked and hand-sorted and the vinification occurs with whole berries. The wine stays in contact with the skins for more than 30 days. A small portion of Malbec was fermented with stems. We are extremely careful with the extraction to obtain very fine tanins. To do this, the best tool is to work with native yeasts and to have good control of the temperatures during fermentation. Aged in old barrels, Apollo eggs and Flexcubes. Unfined and gross filtration. Only 183 cases produced.

An Extra Anejo tequila hand selected from the Cuervo family's private collection. Each year, the collectible packaging is graced with the artwork of a well known Mexican artist. This year's artist is Mario Garcia Torres, who attempts to document a selection of the vegetation of the agave region of Jalisco region. Each bottle is numbered, dated, and sealed in wax, all by hand. Every aspect of Reserva De La Familia is handcrafted at the La Rojena distillery. Pictured on the bottle, it is the oldest active distillery in Latin America. Made using only the flavorful inner portion of hand-selected blue agave plants. Aged for a minimum of two years, the final blend includes tequila from reserves as old as 30 years.
