96 points Wine Spectator
This is rich and even creamy, exhibiting blackberry, black currant and plum flavors. Backed by stiff, dusty tannins and moderate acidity. An equilibrium settles in on the finish, where fruity and savory elements mingle. Fine length. Best from 2030 through 2048.
95 points Jeb Dunnuck
A jeweled red color, the 2021 Brunello Di Montalcino offers a supple and elegant profile, leading with aromas of grenadine, pressed flowers, vanilla, and sweet Mediterranean herbs. Mouthwatering with notes of salted citrus, the palate is medium-bodied, with ripe tannins, a bright spine of acidity, and a long, stony finish. It has a good deal of tension and vibrancy in this vintage and is going to be worth stashing away for a couple of years, as it’s only going to improve with another 8-10 years. Drink 2026-2045.
