The perfumed and showy 2023 As Xaras is a varietal Mencía from Val do Bibei with more grapes from additional vineyards and some more Albarello. It fermented with full clusters and aged in well-seasoned 500-liter French oak barrels and an ancient 3,000-liter oak foudre. This is very primary, juicy and fruit driven. It has moderate alcohol (12%), a medium body and a chalky sensation. It's still young but shows very good balance and freshness.
