Vivid orange-pink. Fresh red berry, pit fruit and floral qualities on the perfumed nose, along with suggestions of dusty minerals and orange pith. Juicy, focused and energetic on the palate, offering subtly sweet nectarine, strawberry and white pepper flavors that are supported by a spine of juicy acidity. Shows very good clarity on a long, sappy finish that echoes the floral and pit fruit notes.

Winemaker Notes:
Owner Charles Bieler named this bright, salmon-hued summer classic after his daughter, Sabine-and with such young, dancing, playful sensory influences in the glass, you can easily understand why. This wine-half spicy Syrah, and the rest a mix of Grenache and Cabernet Sauvignon-is an endless summer Beach Boys song: sunny fun and picnics on a blanket in the sand. The nose is full of fresh, juicy tangerines, farmers market half-pints of raspberries, and baking spice (think vanilla beans and freshly grated nutmeg). In your mouth, it gets cheeky with a slightly unctuous and silky texture, spice, and a finish full of orange zest. Pack a basket full of salty fried chicken, a bottle of this, and off to wait for tickets to Shakespeare in the Park with you! -- PJ
