What an aromatic roller-coaster ride. The first sniff of the glass yields bright red cherries and orange zest. Then you get a burst of roasted red peppers, followed by a shot of espresso. Restrained acidity and velvety tannins accompany raspberry, smoked cherry and earthy oregano flavors. Great value here.

A refreshing Sauvignon Blanc with complex aromas of kiwi, passion fruit and grass. On the palate, the wine is rich with sense of flowers and citrus while it is characterized by a crispy acidity. Long lip-smacking aftertaste composes a beautifully textured Sauvignon Blanc that reflects its cold mountainous origin.

Pinot Grigio thrives in the Alpine air of northeastern Italy, and this version from Kris is no exception. The expression here is a little on the voluptuous side, with notes of honeysuckle, nectarines and almonds, and a nice citrusy tang on the palate that goes incredibly well with slices of nutty Fontina cheese. -- PJ

This famous red blend shows aromatic layers of fresh red fruit, cassis, and dark fruit with an undertone of sweet spices and dark chocolate. The palate is elegant and soft with cedary oak nuances and dark plums end off with a vanilla finish and elegant silky tannins.

A solid red, juicy, textured and dense, with aromas of mixed berries, thyme and baking spices. Medium-bodied with fine tannins. Velvety with crunchy berry character at the center. Vivid and spicy with a flavorful finish. 50% grenache, 20% syrah, 15% carignan and 15% mourvedre. Drink or hold.

At the tasting, the Little Red Moon offers a shimmering and deep ruby color. The nose is intense red and black fruits well walls. It is a fresh and fine wine. We find spicy notes finely peppery and flowery. The violet is present and is reminiscent of Merlot. Then the attack is round, silky, fleshy, very fruity and sweet! The tannins are fine, structuring and persistent in the finish. The Little Red Moon is balanced, fruity, rich, elegant.

It is on these beautiful terroirs, which are probably a little less known in Bordeaux, that Olivier Bernard asked Stéphane Derenoncourt, the Domaine de Chevalier’s consultant, to vinify for himself some pretty prizes selected from viticulturists passionate about their craft. The goal is clear: to make the Little Moon a beautiful wine, charming but elegant, which reflects the values of Olivier Bernard.

The delightful one liter bottle has only 12% abv. There is no malolactic fermentation. This is a crisp, refreshing Gruner Veltliner with notes of herbs, minerals, citrus, stone fruits, and excellent acidity.
