Glistening ruby. Expansive red and blue fruit, pipe tobacco, potpourri and baking spice aromas, with vanilla and smoky mineral notes slowly emerging. Sappy and gently chewy on the palate, offering spice-accented black raspberry, bitter cherry and rose pastille flavors that turn sweeter on the back half. Shows sharp focus and repeating florality on the long, subtly tannic finish, which leaves behind notes of candied blue fruits and cola.

Dark glistening red. A highly perfumed bouquet evokes ripe red and dark berries, baking spices, garrigue and candied flowers, and a smoky mineral flourish appears as the wine opens up. Sappy, sweet and penetrating on the palate, offering juicy black raspberry, cherry and lavender pastille flavors joined by hints of allspice and bitter chocolate. Smooth and seamless in texture, showing superb finishing clarity, gently gripping tannins and strong, spicy persistence. This is a somewhat more brawny wine than usual for Laurent Charvin, but it still retains the domaine's trademark balance and energy.

85% Grenache, 5% Mourvedre, 5% Vaccarese, 5% Syrah, Organic, Avg. 60-year-old vines, Sandy, more clay based soil with galets roules. Whole-cluster, fermented & aged in concrete, unfiltered.

The cuvée aptly called "Tu Vin Plus Aux Soirées" is a blend of biodynamically grown 70% Malbec and 30% Cabernet Sauvignon fermented whole cluster and aged in both cement and neutral barrel over six months.

The 2017 Barolo Albe is exquisite. Bright and beautifully lifted, the 2017 Albe is a wine of pure and total pleasure. All the elements come together so gracefully. Crushed flowers, red berries, mint, cinnamon and lavender are some of the many notes that open in the glass. The 2017 is so nicely done in the way it captures the radiance of the year and the classicism that runs through all these wines. Vineyard sites are Fossati, Costa di Vergne and Le Volte.

Approximately 20 minutes west of San Sebastian, nestled into the rolling green hills of Gipuzkoa, dramatically overlooking the Atlantic coast of northern Spain, you’ll find Gañeta. Along the way you’ll encounter the port, the people and the vines that dwell in Spain’s most tiny DO Getariako Txakolina.

Since the late 1980’s, Julian Ostolaza and Itziar have tended to 17 ha of Hondarrabi Zuri and Hondarrabi Beltza that hang on pergolas along the Getarian coast of País Vasco. They are about as local as you can imagine, and the essence of this special region.

They sustainably farm and produce the classic style of Txakolinas of the Getariako region – slightly effervescent, briny, incredibly dry and lively. The wines are produced in inox, with nothing added except SO2. Julian hopes that the simplicity of production will allow the complexity of the nature that defines the terroir to shine in the wines.

A big share of our wines is unfiltered and that is why our wines carry inside them life and the potential for further development. Marl, which is the main rock of our terroir, provides our wine with minerality, especially felt in the macerated wines.As dictated by our philosophy, our work with wines is done at the time of the full moon, when the wine is at its peak and can fully express its potential. Since we only follow its development and do not monitor it artificially, the wine arrives on the market when it is ready and thus every vintage shows its character in its own moment.

Vineyards of the Keltis wine cellar encompass 5 hectares of land and stretch over the south and south-western positions as well as northern slopes of the Bizeljsko area. Western winds blowing from neighboring Orlica take care of the ventilation and are our natural ally in the fight against diseases. Soil composition includes marl, sandstone with quartz binder, clay, Lithuanian limestone, and limestone with the application of chert." - Zev Rovine

All Chardonnay brought up in used demi-muids, the 2019 La Colline Aux Fossiles sports a medium gold hue to go with terrific stone fruits, caramelized citrus, white flowers, and honeysuckle-like aroma and flavors as well as a beautiful sense of minerality that emerges with time in the glass. Medium to full-bodied and beautifully textured, with a layered mouthfeel and a great finish, it’s another knockout Chardonnay from the team of Eric Solomon and Jean-Marc Lafage.

The 2009 Viña Bosconia Reserva shows the ripeness of the very warm and dry year. It's structured and concentrated, quite different from the finesse of the Tondonia. Bosconia has always been more rustic and powerful and Tondonia all about finesse and nuance. There are dark plums and baking spices, a touch of singed leather, the fruit very strong to counterbalance the aging in barrel. This is a powerful Bosconia. 80,000 bottles produced. It was bottled in May 2016

Venerable historic estate in the appellation of Coteaux dy Layon founded in 1787 and best known for their sweet Chenin blancs, which are released after a minimum of 10 years of aging, with a range of available older vintages spanning 40-50 years!
Due to their distance from the Loire, vineyards in the Layon see less botrytis than other sweet wine sectors (mainly passerillage).
Wines can vary in sweetness levels, with some clearly in the luscious, honeyed dessert range, and others more like Auslese (perhaps better with cheese than desserts)

The 1994 Coteau du Layon offers an intriguing range of sweet tobacco, dried flowers, candied orange peel and earthy notes. Time in bottle has given the 1994 notable complexity, but it also retains a palpable sense of firmness that differentiates it from the lusher 1997 taste alongside it. Even though the 1994 has the depth and character of a 25 year-old Coteaux du Layon, it also has the sense of reserve that I find intriguing. It’s the sort of wine that demands the attention of the taster. The 1994 is a touch rustic, and yet immensely pleasing.

The 2017 Chardonnay Estate is beautifully expressed this vintage, scented of warm citrus, honeycomb and a singular undercurrent of spices. The palate is satiny with full, ripe fruit energized by bright freshness and mineral character, and the wine finishes very long, pure and uplifted. It improved slowly over several days and will benefit from time in the cellar or a long decant. 1,832 cases produced.

This is a blend of ninety-five percent Cinsault and five percent País, hand-harvested from vines planted in 1960. The whole berries are fermented with native yeast, and the wine is aged in neutral oak. The nose shows bright red fruits of raspberry and strawberry with rose petals and hints of fresh florest floor. The palate is defined by its tannin and acid structure that keeps the wine lifted, accentuating the fruit and leading to a racy finish.
