This 18 year old from Glenfiddich is rich and full-bodied and is matured in a mix of Oloroso sherry and bourbon casks. Color: Dark gold. Nose: A remarkably rich aroma with ripe orchard fruit, baked apple and robust oak. Taste: Richly delivers luxurious dried fruit, candy peel and dates. Overlaid with elegant oak notes. For the maturation of this whisky, Glenfiddich adopted the "Solera" procedure from Spanish sherry production. Whiskies matured in different casks (Oloroso sherry, bourbon, virgin oak) are married in a unique Solera vat made from oregon pine. Nose: intriguingly complex aroma. Sweet heather honey and vanilla fudge combined with rich dark fruits. Taste: Silky smooth, revealing layers of sherry oak, cinnamon and ginger.
