We were able to purchase two of Cascina Bruciata’s wines, a Barbaresco and a Langhe Nebbiolo, at wonderful prices. Cascina Bruciata’s wines are very classic Piedmontese, no frills or polish, just rustic Nebbiolo at its finest. We could be charging double for these wines, the usual going rate, but that isn’t the PJ Wine way. We want to offer terrific wines at unbelievable pricing for our clients, and that’s what we are going to do today!

      100% Nebbiolo from Rio Sordo in Barbaresco. The color is ruby red with garnet reflections. Balsamic notes stand out in the aroma, referencing the characteristics of the soil this wine comes from, as well as spicier hints of cinnamon and nutmeg. On the palate, it is elegant, full, and persistent.

      Attractive nose with cherries, dried cranberries, cocoa, tea leaves, cumin and dry earth. Full-bodied with velvety texture. It is tight and chewy with a fresh, crunchy character, yet it will need some time to soften. Firm finish with crushed stone minerality to it.
