The use of the smaller cask size, which ensures increased contact with the oak, creates a soft and velvety edge to complement Laphroaig’s distinctive peatiness. On the nose the sensation is toffee and caramel, caused by the vanillas and tannins of the American oak, plus a dryness from the wood oil. The finish is long and alternates between the sweetness and smoke. 48% abv - Peat and Fruit -

This Laphroaig is created from selected casks from each of the distiller's key styles. Mostly, these are historic styles - Quarter Cask, PX Cask, Triple Wood (Oloroso sherry) and 10 Year Old. The exception is a final maturation in American oak casks - rarely used for Scotch whisky.

Bottled at natural color, the result is an exquisite Laphroaig with their trademark 'peat reek' matched by an additional layer of complexity and depth brought about by the fusion of the maturation styles and different oaks. - Rich and Peaty -

Lepanto is the only brandy to be distilled in the city of Jerez. Established in 1886, the company's brandies are all made from Palomino grapes and aged for 15 years, the difference being the cask used. This Solera Gran Reserva is matured in Oloroso Viejo (old) casks, resulting iin a dry and elegant delicious brandy.

Lepanto OV shows an intense amber color with dark copper tones. On the nose, complex aromas with hints of nuts, spices and mature wood. The palate is intense and extremely dry while maintaining an elegant smoothness.

Sweet anise and coriander aromas with citrus fruit and hints of elderflower. Complex spicy flavors on the palate are balanced with the fresh fruit flavors from the Muscat Canelli.

Premium wine legs were blended together and fortified with grape neutral spirits to produce a base that has a balanced mouth feel and creamy texture. Specifically formulated with a higher pH level than other vermouths to allow for a well balanced flavor profile.

Distiller Notes
Predominant aromas of sweet citrus fruit with hints of ginger, exotic flowers and spices are supported by a framework of cinchona bark and bitter root extracts. Adds refreshing fruit flavors and crisp bitterness to a variety of cocktails. Pairs especially well with sparkling wine and aged spirits.

Starting with a California white wine base, they fortify the wine using neutral grape spirits. Then they add grape concentrate and cane sugar for a rich mouth feel and a sweet finish.

Los Amantes mezcal is an artisanal spirit made from 100% agave grown in Oaxaca [wah-ha-cah], Mexico's premium mezcal region. Los Amantes translates to The Lovers and It is considered by some to be one of the best mezcals from Oaxaca. The nose has tobacco, honey, roasted corn, cinnamon and pepper. Aged in American and Eastern European oak barrels for a minimum of 3 years, this clear Cristalino Extra Anejo sparkles with steel and platinum reflections. The quality of the liquid is evident from the long drops that collect forming pronounced legs on the sides of the glass.

On the nose, a compelling marriage of caramel, honey, cooked agave and dried fruit such as fig or quince emerges, with hints of chocolate, tobacco and sweets that make for an enticing, aromatic scent. Some herbal notes add a touch of freshness and lightness with a hint of lingering vanilla and nutmeg on the finish.

If you can imagine the caramel, vanilla and fruity notes of Maker's Mark turned all the way up, you'd have a pretty good idea of what Maker's Mark Cask Strength is like. One of the better regarded cask strength Bourbons. 55.8%abv.
