Hints of vibrant oranges & lemons are found, followed by walnut, honeycomb and dates. With water, 18 Years Old reveals a rich oaken, balsamic character with notes of apricot and hazelnut. Palate: silky texture, rounded flavor with grapefruit & orange. Also, honey and creamy malt segue into a warm nuttiness of hazelnuts and walnuts from the Oloroso sherry casks in which the whisky is matured.
