This Camus XO Cognac is crafted using eaux-de-vie from the very small Borderies cru, matured in oak barrels for many, many years. Gloriously floral with oaky cinnamon spice, nutty qualities and fragrant fruit - an excellent example of Borderies Cognac!

Every ingredient for Domaine de Canton has been meticulously sourced. Ginger, revered for centuries for its health and mystical properties, is selected from Asia. Baby ginger is specifically used for its distinct flavor properties and viscosity. The Ginger is hand cut, rinsed, and allowed to dry for several days, in preparation for being married into the overall recipe. Additionally, hand-selected Tahitian vanilla beans and Provencal honey are sourced and added to the recipe in careful amounts. The result is a flavor profile that is exceptionally delicious and balanced.

The cognac house Chateau de Montifaud has been in the Vallet family for six generations, since 1866. With their Vieux Rouge Pineau des Charentes, the Colombard grape provides persistence and delicate fruitiness and Ugni-Blanc provides finesse, elegance and a slight acidity. The marriage of these two grape varieties lends a perfect balance to the palate, with aromas of dried fruits and almond that mingle with notes of honey.

The Montifaud estate and the Vallet family that have been its stewards for 6 generations since the mid 19th Century, embody the best qualities of this historic region. With sustainable and organic practices in the vineyard and minimal intervention in the cellar, these cognacs are deeply expressive and naturally balanced. The VSOP shows more depth of flavor than most while still possessing the youthful floral and stone fruit flavors you would associate with this style. An outstanding brandy.
