Nose: Fresh sherry embraces the maltier, more honeyed aspects of Dalwhinnie. Peaty and surprisingly, still heathery. Spicy yet grapy. Palate: A big, spicy buzz followed by an impressive build-up of very clear, well defined Scotch. After a quick burst of sweetness, a rich, grape effect moves in towards the middle. Vibrant amber-gold. The nose is fresh and beautifully light, sherried fruit combined with a tempting spicy sweetness and a int of sappy oak. The palate is full-bodied with a delightfully sherried fruit, oak and delicious sweet sensations. The finish is long and flavorsome, with a lingering spiciness.

We have replicated this freedom with The Glenlivet Founder’s Reserve, selecting whisky from a variety of traditional aged oak casks. Then, to lend a modern twist to the flavour of the expression, Master Distiller Alan Winchester marries together a selection of the aged oak casks and American first-fill oak casks. American first-fill oak casks are those that have never before been used to mature whisky. Elegant but full bodied this whisky has spent ten years maturing in American white oak ex-bourbon casks before being extra-matured for a further two years in Oloroso and PX Sherry casks from Jerez in Spain. Lasanta is Gaelic for warmth and passion, a reminder not just of the Spanish provenance of these Oloroso sherry butts, but also a reflection of this expression's lusciously soft texture and deep, enticingly sweet aroma.

Nose: Warm spices mix with smooth chocolate-covered raisins, honeycomb and caramel toffee. Palate: Deliciously sweet sherry flavoured sultanas, orange segments, walnuts and butterscotch combine to create complex warm spices. Glenmorangie Signet is blend of their oldest whisky and spirit matured in a selection of the world's finest casks. It is undoubtedly is the richest whisky in the Glenmorangie range. While the exact secrets of its production are known only to the distillery, the Signet's melting sweetness and explosive spiciness is due in part to their unique roasted 'chocolate' barley malt and the 'designer casks' made bespoke for Glenmorangie from American white oak. Non chill-filtered.

Aroma: A strong Aruba espresso fused with a treacly plum pudding, rich with sherry, and candied orange peel. Taste: A contrast of rich sweetness with an explosive crackle of sizzling spices and bitter mocha. Finish: A fresh spring-like breeze of mint with a bright citrus. "This is unlike any Glenmorangie I?????ve ever tasted. It?????s a very textural, visceral whisky -- partly due to the chocolate malt, partly due to the casks used. It?????s dark in color for a Glenmorangie, and viscous on the palate, with interwoven notes of dark chocolate, ground coffee, pot still rum, and spice (cinnamon, nutmeg), followed by dry polished leather, tobacco leaf, and a roasted walnut finish. The darkest and most intense whisky in their extra-matured range, Glenmorangie Quinta Ruban has spent 10 years maturing in American white oak casks, before being transferred into ruby port pipes from the Quintas or wine estates of Portugal. Extra maturation in these port pipes creates a complex balance of sweet and dry flavors and an intriguing contrast of smooth and crisp, cooling textures. A Glenrothes 12 Year Old in classic style: fruity and sweet. Aged solely in sherry-seasoned casks, this Speyside whisky has notes of vanilla, melon, banana and cinnamon.

"Lagavulin is a classic example of how smoke isn't a blunt instrument that covers everything in a fog, but an element that works with all the flavours produced in distillation and maturation. Lagavulin isn't 'smokey,' its peat moves into a weird territory of Lapsang Souchong tea and pipe tobacco, fishboxes and kippers. It smells of laurel and light cereal, but is always sweet. The use of the smaller cask size, which ensures increased contact with the oak, creates a soft and velvety edge to complement Laphroaig’s distinctive peatiness. On the nose the sensation is toffee and caramel, caused by the vanillas and tannins of the American oak, plus a dryness from the wood oil. The finish is long and alternates between the sweetness and smoke. 48% abv - Peat and Fruit -

This Laphroaig is created from selected casks from each of the distiller's key styles. Mostly, these are historic styles - Quarter Cask, PX Cask, Triple Wood (Oloroso sherry) and 10 Year Old. The exception is a final maturation in American oak casks - rarely used for Scotch whisky.

Bottled at natural color, the result is an exquisite Laphroaig with their trademark 'peat reek' matched by an additional layer of complexity and depth brought about by the fusion of the maturation styles and different oaks. - Rich and Peaty -

Aged in small casks, this Oban is a little lighter than the 14 year old version, but also shows a little more saltiness and minerality. A great aperitif, or a good whisky to explore for those looking to get away from the standard Highland malts.

Appearance: rich antique gold. Nose: oily, waxy and nutty, balanced by ripe orchard fruits. Notes of almond fruit cake on denser Christmas pudding, with cereal and orange behind. Body: medium to rich. good viscosity. Palate: The comforting chewiness of rich fruit-bread, hints of orange zest and clove, growing drier, still minty, with crisp green apple. Finish: long, quite syrupy at first, then drying, with elegant coating tannins rich in dark chocolate character. 43%abv - Dried Fruit and Nut -

Appearance: Brilliant gold. Nose: Powerful peat-smoke with sea-water saltiness, the liquor of fresh oysters, a citrus sweetness. Palate: A rich dried-fruit sweetness with smoke and strong barley-malt flavors, warming and intense. At the back of the mouth is an explosion of pepper. Finish: long, warming peppery finish with an appetising sweetness. 45.8% abv - Maritime and Smokey -
