Ameztoi’s Txakolina is the wine that has come to define the traditional style of Txakolina from Getaria. Light, crisp, refreshing, and low in alcohol, Ameztoi Txakolina is bottled with a touch of residual carbon dioxide gas to give it its natural, signature, spritzy style. It is produced exclusively from indigenous Hondarrabi Zuri grapes from the Ameztoi estate, grown on traditional trellises high on the slopes rising above Getaria, an ancient Basque fishing village on Spain’s rugged northern coast. A joyful wine with signature salty and briny notes, crisp acidity, low alcohol, and refreshing spritz naturally complements the region’s exquisite seafood. The vines were planted from 1918 to 1989.
Ameztoi is one of the top producers of Getariako Txakolina. They own 20 hectares of vines in the best location. From the vineyards one can see the town of St. Sebastian and understand the influence of the Atlantic Ocean on local viticulture. Made from the indigenous grape varieties of Hondarribi Zuri and its red companion Hondarribi Beltza. The wine is fermented in stainless steel and bottled with residual carbonic acid that gives the wine its natural spritz. 10.5% abv

The iconic Rubentis rosé is a field blend of Hondarrabi Zuri and Hondarrabi Beltza varieties, co-fermented for three weeks. When most local wineries gave up on the indigenous red Hondarrabi Beltza vines, the Ameztoi family retained their old vines, this gives their rosé exceptional vibrancy and complexity. Rubentis, the region’s first pink wine, was inspired by the historic claret-style wines that were once produced in the area long before the current global craze made rosé famous. The backbone of the blend comes from a Hondarrabi Beltza vineyard planted in 1840, preserved by the Ameztoi family for generations. Lean, bright, and briny with the subtlest hint of herbaceousness make this a knockout vintage for Rubentis. Some years the wine can taste stemmy or green, perhaps due to under-ripening of the grapes, but not this year. The 2023 is smokin’ good!

Last year this won our 2021 vintage Rosé taste-off! The new 2022 vintage is rockin' once again!
50% Syrah, 40% Grenache Noir, 10% Mourvèdre. From vineyards blanketed in galets, the smooth round stones of Châteauneuf du Pape fame, comes a vivacious, garnet-colored rose with bright red fruit notes. Galets Rose gets a few hours maceration, 2 hours fermentation for Syrah and Mourvedre, 4 hours for Grenache giving the wine a darker color and a bit more spice and structure. No sulfites during the winemaking process and minimum amount added at bottling. This drinks like a light red wine.

"The 2022 Rosé Le Loup Dans la Bergerie is an airy, crispy, aperitif-styled Rosé to drink over the next year or so, while the cranberry and grapefruit flavors remain vibrant. This steely, taut Rosé has plenty to offer. " Antonio Galloni of Vinous
"Le Loup dans la Bergerie" loosely translates as "The wolf in the hen house".

A dark cherry color implies the fullness that is to come on the palate. Round with a full mouth feel displaying sour cherry and raspberry notes with the subtlest note of garrigue. This is one serious rose. No estate expresses the salt-kissed limestone-driven terroir of the idyllic Provençal seaside village of Cassis like Domaine du Bagnol, and the current generation, Sébastien Genovesi, crafts a rosé of scintillating energy, chiseled calcareous musculature, and gleaming red fruits. Comprising 45% Grenache, 35% Cinsault, and 20% Mourvèdre, Bagnol’s Cassis Rosé is pressed directly and rapidly (in under two hours) to extract as little color as possible, and the bottled wine (certified organic) contains only 10 milligrams per liter of total sulfur—a factor which contributes to its gorgeous purity of texture and intense evocation of limestone. The rose from Manarine carries a light tint and is vinified completely dry. It is a blend of Grenache (60%), young vines mourvedre (20%) and Syrah (20%). Like the white wine, it is fermented and aged in cement vats and is bottled in the early spring following harvest.
Domaine La Manarine practices organic viticulture. Work in the cellar is minimal with little intervention. Fermentations are left to start with indigenous yeasts, with no fining and only a light filtration is utilized. Considering the personal attention and great care invested in his wines, his five bottlings offer some of the best value in the Rhone Valley.

100% Limnio, not to be confused with Limniona, is fermented entirely in stainless steel. This wine has a dark Nebbiolo like color with a slight orange ring on the edges. The wine is voluptuous on the palate displaying dark, brambly fruit notes, pepper, and earth. The wine is savory with chewy tannins that are slightly firm with the first glass.
