Such a beautiful, fresh nose with tons of wild herbs, thyme, rosemary, sour cherries and flowers. Very linear and bright on the palate, charged with silky, fine-grained tannins and fine austerity. You can literally smell the herbs and the wild flowers from the vineyard. Pristine but intense and so fresh and precise. Pure fruit! Insane value for a $20 bottle. Drink now.

The berry and floral character comes through clearly on the nose and palate with a medium body, a medium-tannin backbone and a dark-walnut aftertaste.

There's an alluring, wild quality to this red, with chaparral and mountain herb notes up front. In contrast, olive, peppercorn and fresh leather accents chime in to join the concentrated core of plum and berry flavors, which lengthen nicely around fresh acidity before finishing smooth, with a lingering herbal element. The 2020 Malbec Pyros Appellation emerges from the Pedernal Valley in San Juan. Purple in hue, its aromas feature ripe black fruit, plum and cherry, complemented by wild herbs and chamomile. Dry and rich, it offers taut, fine-grained tannins and a supple texture on the palate, lingering long on its black fruit notes.

Winemaker Notes:

"Opens with intense aromas of blackberry, plum and a hint of mocha. Dark fruit flavors intertwine with notes of spice, licorice and chocolate to create a magnificent, full-bodied Malbec. Round tannins and a plush mouthfeel lead the way to a long, velvety finish."

After primary fermentation, this wine underwent malolactic fermentation to create a smooth, round mouthfeel. Seven months of oak influence imparted subtle brown spice notes.
