Basil Haydon’s is a lighter bodied, rye forward Bourbon with a spicy-sweet flavor profile, and is a favorite of Bourbon enthusiasts. Aroma: Spice, tea, hint of peppermint Taste: Spicy, light-bodied, gentle bite Finish: Dry, clean, brief. 40%abv.

Due to its especially high rye content, Bulleit Bourbon has a bold, spicy character. Medium amber in color, with gentle spiciness and sweet oak aromas. Mid-palate is smooth with tones of maple, oak, and nutmeg. Finish is long, dry, and satiny with a light toffee flavor. 45%abv

The Knob Creek 100 proof is a mix of older and younger Bourbons with the aim of creating a 9 year old flavor profile. A good introductory premium Bourbon.

WHACK! The spicy smack of the nose sends me to check the mashbill; sure enough, this is 38% rye. The nose fumes with youthful zest: cinnamon, bright mint, sun-warmed green grass. Pour some on the palate for more explosive entertainment; sweet cinnamon red-hots burst, corn pops, and the oak burns on into the rye-high finish. This is one excitable boy of a bourbon, and it’s got me humming along. Impressive. Whisky Advocate 90pts

2020 San Francisco World Spirits Double Gold Medal Winner

This truly small-batch bourbon starts with traditionally grown corn, rye and malted barley. All of our staple grains are cultivated exclusively for us on the Omlin Family farm in Quincy, Washington. The grains are mashed, distilled, and barreled in our Woodinville™ distillery, then trucked back over the Cascade Mountains to our private barrel houses, where Central Washington’s extreme temperature cycles promote the extraction of natural flavors from the oak. Prior to being coopered, the barrel wood is seasoned in open air, rain, wind, sun, and snow for eighteen months, softening the wood’s harsh tannins. The barrels are then slowly toasted and heavily charred to further enrich the wood’s desirable flavors. This meticulous process yields a truly hand-crafted spirit with aromas of crème brûlée and spice cabinet, as well as notes of rich caramel, dark chocolate, and vanilla bean on the palate with a sweet, lingering finish.

Maker’s Mark, a perennial favorite, is aged for six years and made from wheat, corn and barley, but no rye. It’s natural Bourbon sweetness is balanced with caramel and vanilla and the finish is smooth and subtle. 45%abv
