Los Amantes mezcal is an artisanal spirit made from 100% agave grown in Oaxaca [wah-ha-cah], Mexico's premium mezcal region. Los Amantes translates to The Lovers and It is considered by some to be one of the best mezcals from Oaxaca. The nose has tobacco, honey, roasted corn, cinnamon and pepper. The palate is smooth with woody flavors and sweet nuances that linger.

Aged in American and Eastern European oak barrels for a minimum of 3 years, this clear Cristalino Extra Anejo sparkles with steel and platinum reflections. The quality of the liquid is evident from the long drops that collect forming pronounced legs on the sides of the glass.

On the nose, a compelling marriage of caramel, honey, cooked agave and dried fruit such as fig or quince emerges, with hints of chocolate, tobacco and sweets that make for an enticing, aromatic scent. Some herbal notes add a touch of freshness and lightness with a hint of lingering vanilla and nutmeg on the finish.

If you can imagine the caramel, vanilla and fruity notes of Maker's Mark turned all the way up, you'd have a pretty good idea of what Maker's Mark Cask Strength is like. One of the better regarded cask strength Bourbons. 55.8%abv.

Distiller Notes
Warm toasted burnt sugar notes with spice, sweet, smoky. During the 1970s and 1980s, Michter’s Original Sour Mash Whiskey was the distillery’s single most popular product. While the “Sour Mash” moniker originated from the whiskey production process of the same name – whereby some previously fermented mash is used as the starter for the new mash to be fermented, much like making sourdough bread – Michter’s Original Sour Mash earned distinction for its unique taste. Produced in Austria but with a Polish name, Monopolowa can trace it’s brand’s origins back to late 18th century Poland . The name means “Monopoly” and refers to the monopoly Polish elites had over the vodka market. After World War II, the Gesslers? an established Austrian distributor and distilling family acquired the rights to the name, but by the late 1990s all Polish connection to the brand disappeared, as the last distilleries in Gdansk still producing products under the brand name ceased operations. It is a potato gin, light in texture with subtle flavors, and botanicals are juniper, orange and lemon peels, coriander, anise, fennel and ginger.

Palate: Juniper to the fore, supported by floral notes and spicy, warm cardamom. Plenty of citrus 'zing' complemented by the gingery spiciness of coriander.
