Nose: Fresh sherry embraces the maltier, more honeyed aspects of Dalwhinnie. Peaty and surprisingly, still heathery. Spicy yet grapy. Palate: A big, spicy buzz followed by an impressive build-up of very clear, well defined Scotch. After a quick burst of sweetness, a rich, grape effect moves in towards the middle. Speyside, Scotland- Straw gold color. Sherry-sweet malty aromas combine with a light smokiness and subtle spice. Delicately light, sweet and malty, with hints of biscuits and cream and peaty notes. Leaves a long, slightly spicy finish with a lingering smokiness.

Distiller Notes
Vibrant amber-gold. The nose is fresh and beautifully light, sherried fruit combined with a tempting spicy sweetness and a int of sappy oak. The palate is full-bodied with a delightfully sherried fruit, oak and delicious sweet sensations. The finish is long and flavorsome, with a lingering spiciness.

This 18 year old from Glenfiddich is rich and full-bodied and is matured in a mix of Oloroso sherry and bourbon casks. Color: Dark gold. Nose: A remarkably rich aroma with ripe orchard fruit, baked apple and robust oak. Taste: Richly delivers luxurious dried fruit, candy peel and dates. Overlaid with elegant oak notes. Glenmorangie Signet is blend of their oldest whisky and spirit matured in a selection of the world's finest casks. It is undoubtedly is the richest whisky in the Glenmorangie range. While the exact secrets of its production are known only to the distillery, the Signet's melting sweetness and explosive spiciness is due in part to their unique roasted 'chocolate' barley malt and the 'designer casks' made bespoke for Glenmorangie from American white oak. Aroma: A strong Aruba espresso fused with a treacly plum pudding, rich with sherry, and candied orange peel. The darkest and most intense whisky in their extra-matured range, Glenmorangie Quinta Ruban has spent 10 years maturing in American white oak casks, before being transferred into ruby port pipes from the Quintas or wine estates of Portugal. Extra maturation in these port pipes creates a complex balance of sweet and dry flavors and an intriguing contrast of smooth and crisp, cooling textures. "Lagavulin is a classic example of how smoke isn't a blunt instrument that covers everything in a fog, but an element that works with all the flavours produced in distillation and maturation. Lagavulin isn't 'smokey,' its peat moves into a weird territory of Lapsang Souchong tea and pipe tobacco, fishboxes and kippers. It smells of laurel and light cereal, but is always sweet. The use of the smaller cask size, which ensures increased contact with the oak, creates a soft and velvety edge to complement Laphroaig’s distinctive peatiness. On the nose the sensation is toffee and caramel, caused by the vanillas and tannins of the American oak, plus a dryness from the wood oil. The finish is long and alternates between the sweetness and smoke. 48% abv - Peat and Fruit -

This Laphroaig is created from selected casks from each of the distiller's key styles. Mostly, these are historic styles - Quarter Cask, PX Cask, Triple Wood (Oloroso sherry) and 10 Year Old. The exception is a final maturation in American oak casks - rarely used for Scotch whisky.

Bottled at natural color, the result is an exquisite Laphroaig with their trademark 'peat reek' matched by an additional layer of complexity and depth brought about by the fusion of the maturation styles and different oaks. - Rich and Peaty -
