A deeper ruby/magenta color, the 2023 Pinot Noir Eileen Vineyard was aged in 48% new French oak. It offers layered depth in its notes of black raspberries, cherries, orange peel, baking spice, strawberry preserves, violets, mossy earth, and fresh leather. From the highest elevation site at 800 feet, and as Daniel Estrin describes it œborn from the wind,” it has floral lift, with concentrated richness and a relatively full-bodied frame. Mouthwatering and stunning now, it will drink well over the next 20 years.

An intense and aromatic wine with crushed flowers, juniper and sweet oak spices on the nose. There is a rustic, wild nature to this full-bodied wine, with flavors of spices, red and black fruit and broad, mouth-filling tannins. Drink after 2028.

It bursts from the glass with scents of pomegranate, red cherry, blackberry, pipe tobacco, forest floor and violets. The medium-bodied palate boasts highly concentrated, fragrant flavors. It™s framed by velvety tannins and bright acidity and has a long, layered finish. 808 cases were made.

From a vineyard that was originally planted in 1982, with 12 feet spacing between the rows, the 2023 Pinot Noir Marjorie Vineyard boasts a youthful ruby red color and lifts with notes of cranberries, cinnamon, clove, dusty earth, and minty herbs. The energy of the palate is fantastic, with salty minerality, refreshing acidity, and a long, energetic finish. It’s packed with tension and should only improve over the next several years with some patience. This was my favorite in the range at this tasting, Drink it over the coming 20 years.

An elegant, delicious and structured medium-bodied wine with pleasing aromas of bright raspberries, strawberries, crushed rose petals, pink peppercorns and some cool blue fruit. A nervy backbone with fine, chalky, mouth-filling tannins and a zesty finish that goes on and on. Drinkable now, but it will age wonderfully.

It has layered, savory scents of mushrooms, flint and pipe tobacco over a core of red cherry, blackberry and orange peel. The medium-bodied palate pairs earth-laced flavors with pleasantly rustic, chalky tannins. It’s balanced by bright acidity and has a long, layered finish.

Very floral but powerful, with aromas of forest botanicals and an Aperol bitterness. Flavors of cherries and orange liqueur reminiscent of a Negroni. Perfumed flowers and botanicals carry through the finish. Medium- to full-bodied and seamless.

A bright red color, the 2023 Pinot Noir Jessie Vineyard is spicy and layered, with notes of cherries, raspberries, cardamom, and fresh leather. From a very steep site with a mix of Dijon and Pommard clones, the wine is medium-bodied, with refined tannins and balanced acidity. It begins to reveal underlying umami tones and a gravelly earthiness as it opens in the glass. Winemaker Daniel Estrin has begun significantly reducing the new oak usage, as is evident in this wine, which saw 26% new oak versus around 60% in past vintages. Drink 2025-2040.

The 2023 Pinot Noir Jessie Vineyard entices with a dark floral presence as lavender and crushed violets open the stage for citrus-infused raspberries. Velvety and elegant in style, it reveals depths of ripe red and blue fruits riding a stream of cooling acidity. Fine-grained tannins add youthful poise as the 2023 tapers off with impressive balance.
