Bastian Jolivet of Domaine Jolivet is a budding star in Saint Joseph. His range of wines from entry-level to high-end end is absolutely delicious! Here we are showcasing the entry-level Blanc and Rouge named Cuvee de Louis. These wines are silly good for our low retail price. They are character-laden, expressive out of the gate, and display a soft touch that is a theme in all of Bastian’s wines. We are talking only 12.5% abv on each (remember when that was the norm?) resulting in an easy drinking delectable experience. If you recall the crazy deal we had on a Crozes-Hermitage rouge a month back, these wines are as good of a steal! Albeit softer as they are a blend of young vine fruit.

      What does Northern Rhone Syrah taste like? This, it tastes like this! No Grenache blended in here, this is 100% Syrah planted on Granite soils right outside Saint Joseph. The wine starts with classic garrigue aromatics, soft texture, black currants, and a gritty stone-driven finish. This is an exceptional daily drinker for those with a traditional palate. No oak, six months in stainless steel, and perfectly integrated alcohol (12.5% abv). Wow!
