Limpid ruby-red. Smoke- and spice-accented red berry and licorice aromas are accented by hints of lavender and cracked pepper. Silky and energetic on the palate, offering juicy cherry, red currant and spicecake flavors that tighten up slowly on the back half. Shows building sweetness and a subtle floral quality on the gripping finish, which features dusty tannins and a touch of bitter cherry.
